The power of support

Kianna Goss, Associate Chief of Staff at Pursue Scholars shares her college journey and the support of her family as a first-generation college student. Kianna graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and double minors in Sociology & Advertising/Public Relations.

After graduating, life after college has exposed Kianna to learning new things about herself and challenges about adulthood. "The first piece of advice I would give is to stay at home as long as you can, my family is allowing me to save and make smart financial decisions. If your home environment is good enough to stay in, give yourself enough time to save, and figure things out if you have a great support system," said Goss.
