Pursue Alum, Yanira Trujillo shares her journey as an Act Six Scholar at Taylor University. Later, she spent nearly two years as the Communications Specialist at Pursue Scholars. She tells the story of her international pursuit of higher education and beyond!

"When I came over here I was pretty much by myself, I didn't have financial support, so whatever I would get from work, I would get. I felt more alive and encouraged by when I got in [Pursue Scholars Act Six Program] at Taylor and the care packages [Pursue] would send me. You lived on a floor where moms and parents and family stop by and send you things, they would be small things but things that would help you. And I didn't have that in college because I didn't have anybody but I did have Pursue Scholars..." said Trujillo.
